USS Nerka (SS-380) : ウィキペディア英語版 | USS Nerka (SS-380)
USS ''Nerka'' (SS-380), named for the nerka, a lake and river salmon (''Oncorhynchus nerka'') of the Pacific Northwest, also called sockeye, sawqui, red salmon, and redfish, would have been a United States Navy ''Balao''-class submarine. Her construction was authorized during World War II, but cancelled on 29 July 1944. The name USS ''Nerka'' was used for a fictional U.S. Navy submarine in Edward L. Beach's 1955 novel ''Run Silent, Run Deep''. == References ==
